Banquet Server

Wage Range: $16-17 + tips

Common Skill Requirements:  Customer Service, Food Handling, General Cleaning, Inventory Management, Lift Up to 25 lbs

Wedding and event season is on the horizon, so venues and golf courses are hiring seasonal event staff. As a Banquet Server, you are responsible for the guest experience when it comes to food and beverages. You will greet and seat guests, take orders, deliver food and drinks, and clean tables. This job is great for college students during Spring and Summer break.

There’s usually a dress code for these roles, but it depends on the venue. Black pants, a white button-up, and black non-slip shoes are a good place to start!

Warehouse Lumpers

Wage Range:  $18-22

Common Skill Requirements:  Palletizing, Pallet Jack Operation, Forklift Operation, Loading/Unloading, Lift Up to 50 lbs, Following Instructions

Chocolate bunnies, Easter baskets, and egg decorating kits are getting shipped everywhere! Help the Easter bunny deliver these gifts in a Lumper role!

As a Lumper, you’ll be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, palletizing, and operating a pallet jack or forklift.

Many warehouses see an increase in Spring and need extra help from Lumpers. Shifts depend on shipment times, making this great for people that need flexible schedules. Remember to bring a high-visibility vest and steel-toed boots to this job!

Tree Services Helper

Wage Range:  $24-26

Common Skill Requirements:  Power Tool Operation, Rigging, Pruning, Debris Removal, Lift Up to 50 lbs, Following Instructions

TIMBER! Tree Service jobs are falling in this Spring.

Tree Service, or Arborist, jobs are here for the Spring and Summer seasons. As a Tree Services Helper, you’ll be planting, maintaining, and removing trees and other plants. Your responsibilities include ensuring that trees are in a healthy and safe condition. This job may involve rigging, so you must be comfortable with heights.

Bring a hard hat, steel-toed work boots, and safety glasses to this job.

Construction Labour

Wage Range:  $18-22

Common Skill Requirements: Loading/Unloading, Power Tool Operation, Demolition, Debris Removal, General Cleaning, Lift Up to 50 lbs,

Is there a better feeling than seeing a project through from start-to-finish? Or, being able to point to something and say, “I helped build that?”

Construction projects increase every Spring, so companies are looking for seasonal help. Construction Labourers load and unload building materials, remove debris, maintain a safe site, and assist teammates with daily duties. Every day may look different depending on the needs. One day you could help with framing and the next with concrete pouring. Be prepared for a manual job where you’re on your feet all day.

Remember to bring steel-toed work boots, safety glasses, and a high-visibility vest to this role.
